DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM JUNE 16 TO 22, 1974, AS NATIONAL SALESMEN’S WEEK.

WHEREAS, the orderly distribution of the country’s agricultural and industrial products is vital to the continuing efficient operations of our farms and factories as instruments of economic growth and prosperity;

WHEREAS, to the salesmen we owe this vital service not only as fulfiller of our wants and needs, but also as pillars in the economic stability of the country; and

WHEREAS, there is a need to call the attention of the public to the important task society has assigned to the salesmen;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from June 16 to 22, 1974, as National Salesmen’s Week under the auspices of the Sales and Marketing Executives of the Philippines.
