DECLARING JULY 27, 1974, AND EVERY YEAR THEREAFTER AS PANTALEON VILLEGAS (LEON KILAT) DAY IN NEGROS ORIENTAL AND CITIES THEREIN.
WHEREAS, Pantaleon Villegas (Leon Kilat) was one of the outstanding revolutionary leaders during the Spanish era; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting to give due recognition to men such as he whose exemplary love of country should be a source of inspiration to all freedom-loving Filipinos;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare July 27, 1974, and every year thereafter as “Pantaleon Villegas (Leon Kilat) Day” in Negros Oriental and cities therein.
