[ Proclamation No. 1235, February 11, 1974 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD PROM MARCH 18 TO 24, 1974, AS PHILIPPINE-JAPAN TECHNICAL TRAINING CONSCIOUSNESS WEEK.

WHEREAS, the Philippine-Japan Fellows Association, an organization composed mostly of government officials and employees who had undergone and completed technical training or study in Japan, will hold its first nationwide conference on March 18 to 24, 1974, on the theme “Evaluation and Effects of the Training in Japan and its Relevance to the New Society;”

WHEREAS, the import and impact of technical training or study in Japan will be better appreciated in the light of national development programs along announced objectives for accelerated economic growth; and

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that technical training consciousness be given full support and due emphasis by focusing public attention on its significance in present development goals;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from March 18 to 24, 1974, as Philippine-Japan Technical Training Consciousness Week.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
