[ Proclamation No. 1176, August 17, 1973 ]

AUTHORIZING THE PHILIPPINE MEDICAL WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION, INC., TO CONDUCT A NATIONWIDE FUND DRIVE FROM SEPTEMBER 1, 1973, TO MARCH 31, 1974.

WHEREAS, the Philippine Medical Women’s Association, Inc., a national, civic and nonprofit organization of women medical graduates in the Philippines cognizant of the pressing health needs and social problems that beset our people contribute its share in the upliftment of the physical and social stature of the citizenry through various indigency projects and services involving family planning, nutrition, drug addiction and medico-dental clinics and public health information drives through its 37 chapters; and

WHEREAS, to effectively implement and carry out the aforementioned indigency programs, the Philippine Medical Women’s Association needs the financial support and wholehearted cooperation of the general public;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby authorize the Philippine Medical Women’s Association, Inc., to conduct a nationwide fund drive from September 1, 1973, to March 81, 1974.

I call upon all government officials, military authorities, government and private school administrators, students and all citizens and residents of the Republic of the Philippines regardless of nationality or creed to extend their support and contribute generously of their means.
