DECLARING THURSDAY, APRIL 12, 1973, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BATAN, PROVINCE OF AKLAN.

WHEREAS, Thursday, April 12, 1973, marks the formal inauguration of the Kalantiaw Shrine in the municipality of Batan, province of Aklan; and

WHEREAS, the people of Batan where the Code of Kalantiaw was promulgated by Datu Bendahara Kalantiaw in 1433 A.D. should be given opportunity to celebrate the opening of the Shrine with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Thursday, April 12, 1973, as a special public holiday in the municipality of Batan, province of Aklan.
