DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM MARCH 4 TO 11, 1973, AND EVERY YEAR THEREAFTER AS PHILIPPINE GRAND PRIX WEEK.

WHEREAS, automobile racing in the Philippines has become a popular sport, a promoter of tourism and a good testing ground for local automotive development; and

WHEREAS, the Automobile Racing Association of the Philippines is sponsoring from March 4 to 11, 1973, the Fifth Philippine Grand Prix to be participated in by local as well as foreign driving aficionados;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, in recognition of the important role played by Philippine racing clubs in the automotive industry and in the promotion of sports and tourism, do hereby declare March 4 to 11, 1973, and every year thereafter as Philippine Grand Prix Week under the auspices of the Automobile Racing Association of the Philippines.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
