DECLARING TUESDAY, JANUARY 4, 1972, AS a SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE BICOL REGION
WHEREAS, Tuesday, January 4, 1972, marks the anniversary of the execution of the 15 martyrs of Bicol in 1897; and
Whereas, the people of the Bicol Region should be given opportunity to render homage to the heroism and love of country of the martyrs through appropriate ceremonies ;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Tuesday, January 4, 1972, as a special public holiday in the Bicol Region.
