[ Proclamation No. 932, November 18, 1971 ]

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 8, 1971, AS a SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BATANES.

WHEREAS, Wednesday, December 8, 1971, marks the charter anniversary of the province of Batanes during which occasion the province desires to honor its exemplary citizens; and

WHEREAS, the residents should be afforded the opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Wednesday, December 8, 1971, as special public holiday in the province of Batanes.
