[ Proclamation No. 931, November 18, 1971 ]

AUTHORIZING THE PHILIPPINE HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION TO CONDUCT a NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL AND FUND CAMPAIGN DURING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 30, 1971, TO MAY 31, 1972.

WHEREAS, the Philippine Historical Association (PHA) has as its objectives the study and writing of Philippine history and the training of researchers and writers on Philippine history and historiography;

WHEREAS, the PHA has embarked on a program to write and publish the cultural history of the Philippines from the point of Filipino scholars and historians; and

WHEREAS, in its desire to give meaning, substance and reality to its patriotic aims and purposes, the said organization needs financial assistance from all sectors of society;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby authorize the Philippine Historical Association to conduct a nation-wide educational and fund campaign during the period from November 30, 1971, to May 31, 1972. I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines, irrespective of race and creed, to support the campaign.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
