[ Proclamation No. 930, November 18, 1971 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 22 TO 28, 1971, AS RURAL ELECTRIFICATION WEEK.

WHEREAS, the electrification of the entire country is vital to the general welfare of the people and indispensable to the progress of the nation; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of this Administration to pursue this objective vigorously;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from November 22 to 28, 1971, as “Rural Electrification Week” under the auspices of the National Electrification Administration and other entities concerned.
