AUTHORIZING THE PRESS PHOTOGRAPHERS OF THE PHILIPPINES, INC., TO CONDUCT a FUND DRIVE FOR BEN ROXAS AND OTHER VICTIMS OF THE PLAZA MIRANDA BOMBING OF AUGUST 21, 1971.

WHEREAS, the Press Photographers of the Philippines, Inc., lost one of its stalwarts in the person of Ben Roxas, who died in line of duty at Plaza Miranda in the finest tradition of press photography; and

WHEREAS, the association needs funds to help the families of Ben Roxas and other photographer-victims of the bombing;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby authorize the Press Photographers of the Philippines, Inc., to conduct a fund drive for the late Ben Roxas and other photographer-victims of the Plaza Miranda bombing of August 21, 1971.
