DECLARING FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8, 1971, AS PHILIPPINE LIONS SERVICE DAY.

WHEREAS, the Lions International is a voluntary organization of civic-spirited men working together on organized civic projects and in creating goodwill among all nations;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ROBERTO V. REYES, Acting Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, in recognition of the role of the Lions in nation-building, do hereby declare Friday, October 8, 1971, as Philippine Lions Service Day.
