[ Proclamation No. 905, September 13, 1971 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM SEPTEMBER 27 TO OCTOBER 3, 1971, AS “PURCHASING WEEK”

WHEREAS, one of the policies of the government is to encourage greater cooperation among Asian nations;

WHEREAS, the First Asian Congress on Purchasing will bring together purchasing executives and managers from various countries in Asia; and

WHEREAS, the establishment of an Asian Federation of Purchasing in the Philippines will bring great honor for our country;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from September 27 to October 3, 1971, as “Purchasing Week” under the auspices of the Purchasing Association of the Philippines.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
