DECLARING MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 1971, AS a SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BATANGAS AND IN THE CITIES OF LIPA AND BATANGAS.

WHEREAS, Monday, September 27, 1971, marks the 106th birthday anniversary of the late General Miguel Malvar, one of the last generals to surrender in the revolutionary wars against Spain and the United States; and

WHEREAS, the people of Batangas, the province of his birth, should be given full opportunity to pay homage and respect in the great hero;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Monday, September 27, 1971, as a special public holiday in the province of Batangas and in the cities of Lipa and Batangas.1aшphi1
