DECLARING MONDAY, AUGUST 30, 1971, AS a SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN SAN JUAN, RIZAL.

WHEREAS, the 30th of August marks the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Pinaglabanan where Filipinos First clashed with American soldiers, sparkling the struggle for freedom from American domination;

WHEREAS, the people of San Juan, Rizal, should be given full opportunity to celebrate this occasion with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Monday, August 30, 1971, as a special public holiday in San Juan, Rizal.
