DECLARING MONDAY, AUGUST 23, 1971, AS CRY OF PUGAD LAWIN DAY IN CALOOCAN CITY AND QUEZON CITY.

WHEREAS, the 23rd day of August marks the anniversary of the “Cry of Pugad Lawin”, a historic event in our struggle for freedom;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Monday, August 23, 1971, as “Cry of Pugad Lawin Day” in Caloocan City and Quezon City.
