DECLARING TUESDAY, AUGUST 31, 1971, AS a SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF NOVELETA, CAVITE.

WHEREAS, Tuesday, August 31, 1971, marks the anniversary of the revolt of the people of Noveleta, Cavite, against Spanish tyranny; and

WHEREAS, the people of Noveleta should be afforded the opportunity to celebrate this historic event in our people’s struggle for freedom and democracy;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Tuesday, August 31, 1971, as a special public holiday in the municipality of Noveleta, province of Cavite.
