[ Proclamation No. 871-A, April 22, 1971 ]

AUTHORIZING THE PHILIPPINE TUBERCULOSIS SOCIETY, INC. TO CONDUCT a NATIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN DURING THE PERIOD FROM JULY 1 TO OCTOBER 31, 1971.

WHEREAS, tuberculosis continues to imperil public health and thwarts social advancement and economic progress;

WHEREAS, the Philippine Tuberculosis Society, Inc. has consistently cooperated with the national government towards the control of the White Plague and in ameliorating human suffering amongst those ravaged by this scourge; and

WHEREAS, the Society can only maintain its charitable services to the extent of the moral and financial support it receives from every citizen and resident of the country;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FLORES BAYOT, Acting Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby authorize the Philippine Tuberculosis Society, Inc.1aшphi1 to conduct its national educational and fund campaign during the period from July 1 to October 31, 1971.

I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines, irrespective of nationality or creed, to give generously of their means and energy so as to intensify the fight against TB and protect the community from this debilitating disease.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
