DECLARING THURSDAY, JULY 1, 1971, AS a SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF SOUTHERN LEYTE.

WHEREAS, Thursday, July 1, 1971, marks the eleventh anniversary of the creation of the province of Southern Leyte; and

WHEREAS, the people of this province should be given full opportunity to celebrate this milestone in the history of their province;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ROBERTO V. REYES, Acting Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Thursday, July 1, 1971, as a special public holiday in the province of Southern Leyte.
