DECLARING MONDAY, MARCH 8, 1971, AS a SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN CEBU CITY.
WHEREAS, Monday, March 8, 1971, marks the opening of the East Visayas Athletic Meet to be held at Cebu City; and
WHEREAS, the people of Cebu City should be given full opportunity to appreciate the significance of said meet which is designed to promote sportsmanship, brotherhood and cooperation among the people of the Eastern Visayas;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Monday, March 8, 1971, as a special public holiday in Cebu City.
