DECLARING THE YEARS 1971 TO 1973 AS TOURISM PROMOTION YEARS.

WHEREAS, the Philippines has not yet fully tapped its tourist potentialities; and

WHEREAS, the Philippines realizes the importance of tourism as a source of much-needed foreign exchange and as a vehicle for bringing about understanding and harmony among nations;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the years 1971 to 1973 as Tourism Promotion Years under the auspices of the Board of Tourist and Travel Industry and the Philippine Tourist and Travel Association.
