DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM FEBRUARY 8 TO 15, 1971, AS SMALL SCALE INDUSTRIES WEEK.

WHEREAS, small scale industries have been contributing in a certain degree to the economic development of our country;

WHEREAS, the development of small scale industries as a vital force in economic stability of the country is one of the major concerns of this demonstration; and

WHEREAS, there is a need to focus public attention on the role small scale industries play in national progress;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from February 8 to 15, 1971, as Small Scale Industries Week.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
