[ Proclamation No. 760, October 12, 1970 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM DECEMBER 6 TO 12, 1970, AS GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES WEEK.

WHEREAS, it is desirable to focus attention on the legion of honest and efficient government workers for their contribution to nation building; and

WHEREAS, recognition of their service is an incentive to greater dedication and efficiency in public office;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from December 6 to 12, 1970, as Government Employees’ Week. I call upon all citizens to turn their thoughts to the honest and efficient government employee in grateful appreciation for his services. The Week should be devoted to the attain­ment of maximum service efficiency and the highest degree of harmony and cooperation between the public and the government employee.
