[ Proclamation No. 748, August 31, 1970 ]

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 1970, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE CITY OF CABANATUAN.

WHEREAS, Wednesday, September 2, 1970, marks the revolt of the people of Nueva Ecija against Spanish tyranny; and

WHEREAS, at least the residents of Cabanatuan City should be given the opportunity to commemorate the event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare September 2, 1970, as a special public holiday in the City of Cabanatuan.
