[ Proclamation No. 745, August 28, 1970 ]

DECLARING MONDAY, AUGUST 31, 1970, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ZAMBALES AND IN THE CITY OF OLONGAPO.

WHEREAS, the sixty-third birthday of the late President Ramon Magsaysay falls on August 31, 1970.

WHEREAS, in the few years that he served our people, President Magsaysay proved himself to be an earnest defender of the common man, dedicated himself to the improvement of the public service and did everything for the advancement of the Republic; and

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that at least the people of his birthplace be afforded full opportunity to celebrate his birthday with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by Section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Monday, August 31, 1970, as a special public holiday in the province of Zambales and in the City of Olongapo.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
