DECLARING JULY 27 TO AUGUST 2, 1970, AS FILIPINO BUSINESSMEN’S WEEK

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the government to promote the greater participation of Filipinos in trade, commerce and industry, to help achieve the developmental goals of the nation;

WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines is holding its 1970 Convention of Filipino Businessmen from July 30 to August 1, 1970, to be participated in by businessmen, industrialists manufacturers and traders from all over the country;

WHEREAS, public consciousness of the role of the business, industry, and trade sectors is essential stage of the country’s development to help attain a and faster rate of productivity, employment and for the masses of our people;

NOW, THEREFORE, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from July 27 to August 2, 1970, as Filipino Businessmen’s Week.
