DESIGNATING THE PERIOD FROM AUGUST 1 TO DECEMBER 31, 1970, AS THE PERIOD FOR THE NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN OF THE GIRL SCOUTS OF THE PHILIPPINES.

WHEREAS, the Girl Scouts of the Philippines has been dedicated to the ideals of service to God, country and humanity through a well-rounded program of activities designed to fully develop the mental and physical capabilities of young girls;

WHEREAS, the Girl Scout of the Philippines, now numbering more than 321,000, needs funds to maintain its high standards of work and to be able to implement its policies and bring about a better nation through the girls who will be the future mothers in it;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of HIS EXCELLENCY, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby authorize the Girl Scouts of the Philippines to conduct a national fund drive during the period from August 1 to December 31, 1970. I enjoin all citizens to assist wholeheartedly in this campaign and give generously of their means.1aшphi1
