[ Proclamation No. 714, June 29, 1970 ]

RESERVING AS SITE FOR PORT DEVELOPMENT PURPOSES A PORTION OF THE COASTAL AREA AT THE PORT OF MAKAR (GEN. SANTOS CITY), PROVINCE OF COTABATO.

Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources and pursuant to the authority vested upon me by law I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby withdraw from sale or settlement and reserve for port development purposes under the administration, supervision and control of the Bureau of Customs subject to private rights if any there be, a portion of the coastal area at the Port of Makar (Gen. Santos City) Cotabato, covering an area of about 4.89 hectares, and more particularly described as follows (pending the actual survey of the boundary by a more precise instrument and establishment of the permanent corners):

Beginning at a point mark “1”, being the seaward corner at the southwestern end of the existing R. C. Marginal Wharf at the Port of Makar;

Thence, S 61°45’ W, a distance of 66.00 meters to point 2;

Thence, S 38°38’ W, a distance of 80.00 meters to point 3;

Thence, N 51°22’ W, a distance of 140.00 meters to point 4;

Thence, N 38°38’ E, a distance of 105.00 meters to point 5;

Thence, N 61°45’ E, a distance of 273.00 meters to point 6;

Thence, S 28°15’ E, a distance of 140.00 meters to point 7;

Thence, S 61°45’ W, a distance of 175.00 meters to point 1;

the point of beginning, containing an area of 48,930 square meters, more or less. Points 1 to 7 referred to are indicated in the attached plan.
