[ Proclamation No. 685, April 20, 1970 ]

DECLARING JULY 21, 1970, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF PANGASINAN, AND IN THE CITIES OF DAGUPAN AND SAN CARLOS.

WHEREAS, July 21, 1970, marks the centennial anniversary of the birth of the late Don Daniel Maramba, former Provincial Governor, Representative and Senator from Pangasinan;

WHEREAS, Don Daniel Maramba had been instrumental in effecting several public improvements in his province; and

WHEREAS, the people of his province should be given full opportunity to celebrate the centennary of his birth with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Acting Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Tuesday, July 21, 1970, as a special public holiday in the province of Pangasinan, and in the cities of Dagupan and San Carlos.
