[ Proclamation No. 680, April 15, 1970 ]

DECLARING MAY 3 TO 9, 1970, AS MINDANAO WEEK

WHEREAS, there is a need to accelerate the social and political integration of the inhabitants of Mindanao into: the national mainstream; and

WHEREAS, during the period from May 3 to 9,1970, there will be cultural presentations reflective of the ways of life ii! the southern region which will in effect boost tourism and promote public awareness of our cultural heritage from that region;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from May 3 to 9, 1970, as Mindanao Week.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
