[ Proclamation No. 675, March 31, 1970 ]

AUTHORIZING THE NATIONAL GERIATRIC CIVIC ASSOCIATION, INCORPORATED TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL, MEMBERSHIP AND FUND CAMPAIGN DURING THE PERIOD FROM APRIL 1 TO SEPTEMBER 30, 1970.

WHEREAS, the National Geriatric Civic Association, Inc. is engaged in various geriatric projects for the rehabilitation and care of the aged;

WHEREAS, there are now more than three and one-half million Filipino citizens of fifty years of age and above whom the National Geriatric Civic Association, Inc. has pledged to serve through its medical care, scientific research and socio-economic welfare program; and

WHEREAS, the Association needs funds for the establishment, operation and maintenance of the RESEARCH FOUNDATION CENTER FOR AGING DISEASES & NATIONAL GERIATRIC SANATORIA OF THE PHILIPPINES and other geriatric projects as it may establish;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Acting Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby authorize the National Geriatric Civic Association, Inc. to conduct a national educational, membership and fund campaign during the period from April 1 to September 30, 1970. I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines, irrespective of race or creed, to assist in this drive in order that the Association may attain its objectives.
