DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM JUNE 22 TO 27, 1970, AS NATIONAL SALESMEN’S WEEK

WHEREAS, the orderly distribution of the output of our factories and enterprises is vital to their continuing efficient operation as instruments of economic growth and prosperity; and

WHEREAS, the “spark plug” of our competitive system is the salesman—the fulfiller of needs and wants, the imaginative developer of markets and uses in the effective and over-increasing employment of our population, resources and facilities for production;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Acting Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, in order to give impetus to the role of the Salesman in our developing economy, do hereby declare the period from June 22 to 27, 1970, as National Salesmen’s Week to be observed throughout the country in private and government entities and in civic and marketing associations with appropriate ceremonies under the sponsorship of the Sales & Marketing Executives of the Philippines.1aшphi1
