[ Proclamation No. 663, March 6, 1970 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM APRIL 1 TO 7, 1970, AS “TAX CONSCIOUSNESS WEEK.”

WHEREAS, it is the civic obligation and patriotic duty of every citizen to pay his just taxes promptly; and

WHEREAS, there is need of instilling among our citizenry greater consciousness of their obligation and underscoring the taxpayer’s role in economic progress and nation-building;

NOW THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from April 1 to 7, 1970, as ‘”Tax Consciousness Week” under the auspices of the Department of” Finance.
