DECLARING MONDAY, MARCH 9, 1970, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BATANGAS AND IN THE CITIES OF BATANGAS AND LIPA.

WHEREAS, the seventy-ninth birthday of the late JOSE P. LAUREL, patriot, jurist and statesman, falls on March 9, 1970; and

WHEREAS, the people of Batangas should be given full opportunity to celebrate his birthday with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, acting Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Monday, March 9, 1970, as a special public holiday in the Province of Batangas and in the Cities of Batangas and Lipa.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
