[ Proclamation No. 655, February 11, 1970 ]

DECLARING MONDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 1970, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCES OF LANAO DEL SUR AND SULU AND IN THE CITIES OF BASILAN, MARAWI AND ILIGAN.

In connection with the Muslim Feast of “Eidul Adh-ha Almubarak” I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, February 16, 1970, as a special public holiday in the provinces of Lanao del Sur and Sulu, and in the cities of Basilan, Marawi, and Iligan.

Muslim officials and employees of the government, both national and local, performing their duties and functions outside of the provinces and cities above-mentioned, shall be exempted from duty during this feast day which, for purposes of this proclamation, shall be considered as a special public holiday for said officials and employees in their respective stations.1aшphi1
