[ Proclamation No. 644, January 22, 1970 ]

AUTHORIZING THE PHILIPPINE BADMINTON ASSOCIATION INC. TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN DURING THE PERIOD FROM JANUARY 1 TO JULY 31, 1970.

WHEREAS, Filipino badminton players in numerous competitions with foreign countries have won and excelled in the sport to the honor and glory of our country; and

WHEREAS, the Philippine Badminton Association Inc., needs funds for building a gymnasium and for hosting forthcoming international events;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ERNESTO M. MACEDA, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, pursuant to law, do hereby authorize the Philippine Badminton Association, Inc., to conduct a National Fund Campaign during the period from January 11 to 31, 1970. I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines, irrespective of nationality or creed, to give generously within their means so that our badminton players can continue to bring glory and honor to our country and people.
