DECLARING THE WEEK FROM JANUARY 24 TO 31, 1970, AS NATIONAL SECURITIES-INVESTMENT CONSCIOUSNESS WEEK.

WHEREAS, investment in securities is a practical means of saving for economic development;

WHEREAS, stock exchanges and investment houses have played a vital role in providing the facilities for securities investment to the general public; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable that a week be set aside to encourage greater interest and participation in the country’s economic development through investments;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from January 24 to 31, 1970, as “National Securities-Investment Consciousness Week” under the auspices of the stock exchanges and investment houses involved;
