[ Proclamation No. 632, December 8, 1969 ]

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 10, 1969, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCES OF COTABATO, SOUTH COTABATO, LANAO DEL NORTE, LANAO DEL SUR AND SULU, AND IN THE CITIES OF BASILAN, COTABATO, GENERAL SANTOS, ILIGAN AND MARAWI.

In. connection with the celebration of the Feast of Id-Ul-Fitr, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law. do hereby declare Wednesday, December 10, 1969, as a special public holiday in the provinces of Cotabato, South Cotabato, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, and Sulu, and in the cities of Basilan, Cotabato, General Santos, Iligan and Marawi.

Muslim officials and employees of the government, both national and local, performing their duties and functions outside of the provinces and cities above stated, shall be exempted from duty during the day which, for purposes of this proclamation, shall be considered as a special public holiday for said officials and employees in their respective stations.
