[ Proclamation No. 631, December 4, 1969 ]

AUTHORIZING THE PHILIPPINE CANCER SOCIETY, INC. TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL EDUCATION, MEMBERSHIP AND FUND DRIVE DURING THE PERIOD FROM JANUARY 1 TO JUNE 30, 1970.

WHEREAS, the Philippine Cancer Society, Inc., having successfully pioneered and spearheaded the move towards the prevention and control of cancer, envisions the extension of its free medical services to the rural areas through the establishment of local chapters; and

WHEREAS, in order to carry out this objective, the Society needs the continued support and cooperation of the public;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E, MARCOS, President of the Philippines by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Philippine Cancer Society, Inc., to conduct a national educational, membership and fund drive during the period from January 1 to June 30, 1970. I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines, irrespective of nationality, race or creed, to assist in this humanitarian endeavor by giving generously of their means.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
