[ Proclamation No. 629, November 29, 1969 ]
RESERVING FOR FOREIGN TRADE ZONE PURPOSES A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MARIVELES, PROVINCE OF BATAAN, ISLAND OF LUZON
Upon recommendation of the Secretary of Agriculture arid Natural Resources and pursuant to the authority vested in me by law, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby exclude from sale or settlement and reserve for the establishment, operation and maintenance of a foreign trade zone under the administration of the Foreign Trade Zone Authority created under Republic Act No. 5490, subject to private rights, if any there be, and to future survey, a certain parcel of land of the public domain situated in the municipality of Mariveles, province of Bataan, island of Luzon, which parcel of land is more particularly described as follows:

“Containing an approximate area of one hundred twenty-five point forty-two (125.42) hectares more or less (by the use of Planimeter) as shown in the attached sketch plan.
“POINT “1”—Triangulation station (Triangulation Station Sampaloc) established by Certeza Surveying Co., Inc. On the north side of Mariveles Harbor about 40 meters WNW Camaya point, 15 meters seaward from the HWL, is a boulder. This is the largest of the group of boulders in the vicinity of the point and protrudes about 1 meter above high water.
Set on the top of the boulder at the center of an -8' equilateral triangle inscribed on a cement potty is a porcelain plug marking the station.”
PARCEL II
A parcel of land, situated in the Municipality of Mariveles, Province of Bataan, Island of Luzon, starting from a stone monument marked “U. S.” (station A) located at the mouth of the Mariveles River and on the east back thereof; thence true north 5,280 feet; to a stone monument marked “U. S.” (station B); thence true east 10,000 feet; more or less to a point 1,259 feet west of a stone monument marked “U.S.” (station C) or lying on true meridian E 120'-3'; thence true south along said meridian to the shoreline to the west of Corda point; thence along the shoreline in northwesterly direction to the place of beginning; containing an approximate area of five hundred fifty six point fifty-seven (556.57) hectares.
(NOTE: All data are approximate and subject to change based on future survey).
The Foreign Trade Zone Authority shall allow the NASSCO Bataan National Shipyard to continue using the areas presently occupied by their existing industrial facilities and offices, including certain areas to be clearly delineated, as are reasonably necessary for the continued operation of the Bataan National Shipyard (NASSCO).
The Foreign Trade Zone Authority shall have free use of the berthing facilities of the NASSCO for the unloading and loading of import and export cargo brought in and out of the Free Trade Zone.1aшphi1
All previous proclamations and orders contrary to or inconsistent with this proclamation are hereby revoked or amended accordingly.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
