[ Proclamation No. 621, October 13, 1969 ]

DECLARING OCTOBER 29, 1969, AS ILO DAY AND CREATING A PHILIPPINE COMMITTEE TO UNDERTAKE PREPARATIONS FOR ITS PROPER OBSERVANCE.

WHEREAS, the International Labour Conference on June 26, 1967, by a resolution adapted unanimously in the course of its 51st Session decided to celebrate in 19(i9 the 50th-Anniversary of the International Labour Organization; and

WHEREAS, the Philippines recognizes its solemn obligations to the International Labour Organization to help further among- the nations of the world lasting peace based on social justice;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare October 29, 1969, as International Labour Organization (I.L.O.) Day and create the following Committee to take charge of its observance:

The Secretary of Labor Chairman
The Undersecretary of Labor Vice-Chairman
The Social Security Commissioner Member
The Director, Asian Labour Education Center Member
The President, Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines Member
The President, Philippine Chamber of Industries Member
The President, Chamber of Agriculture and Natural Resources Member
The General-Secretary, Philippine Trade Unions Council Member
The President, Philippine Labor Center Member
The President, Federation of Free Workers Member
The President, National Press Club Member

The Committee may create such sub-committees as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this proclamation.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
