RESERVING FOR NATIONAL SHRINE PURPOSES A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND OF THE PRIVATE DOMAIN SITUATED IN THE BARRIO OF BARAS, MUNICIPALITY OF PALO, PROVINCE OF LEYTE, PHILIPPINES.

Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources and pursuant to the authority vested in me by law, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS,President of the Philippines, do hereby withdraw from sate or settlement and reserve for national shrine purposes under the administration of the National Shrines Commission, subject to private rights, if any there be, a certain parcel of land of the private domain (generally referred to as “Red Beach”, the landing point of General Douglas MacArthur and the liberating forces), including all the improvements existing thereon situated in the Barrio of Baras, Municipality of Palo, Province of Leyte, Philippines, which is more particularly described as follows:

A parcel of land (the proposed National Freedom Park) situated in the Barrio of Baras, Municipality of Palo, Province of Leyte, Philippines. Bounded W. along line 1-2-3-4 by the National Road; on the NE. along line 4-5-6-7-8-9 by Private Properties; on the SE. along line 9-10-11-12-13 by San Pedro Bay; on the SW. along line 13-14-10-16-17-18 by Private Properties; and oh the NW. along line 18-19-1 by the National Road. Beginning at a point marked “1” on the plan, being S. 2 deg. 35 min. W., 1204.33 meter from M.B.M. No. 4 of Tacloban Cadastre 220;
