DECLARING SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 1969, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BATANGAS, AND IN THE CITIES OF BATANGAS AND LIPA.

WHEREAS, Saturday, September 27, 1969, marks the 104th birthday of General Miguel Malvar, hero and patriot of the Filipino-American war, and the last Filipono general to surrender to the Americans; and

WHEREAS, the people of Batangas should be afforded an opportunity to honor the hero with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Saturday, September 27,1969, as a special public holdiay in the province of Batangas, and in the cities of Batangas and Lipa.
