[ Proclamation No. 608, September 8, 1969 ]

AUTHORIZING THE KNIGHTS OF RIZAL TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL AND FUND CAMPAIGN DURING THE PERIOD FROM SEPTEMBER 1, 1969 TO APRIL 30, 1970.

WHEREAS, the Order of the Knights of Rizal has for its noble patriotic objectives the training and molding of the Filipino youth in character building, dynamic citizenship, civic consciousness, dedicated and democratic leadership, and enlightened nationalism;

WHEREAS, the Order of the Knights of Rizal has undertaken a patriotic and dynamic program to preserve and to propagate the ideals and teachings of Rizal; and

WHEREAS, in its desire to give meaning, substance, and reality to its patriotic aims and purposes, the said organization needs financial assistance from all sectors of the country;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS,President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Order of the Knights of Rizal to conduct a national educational and fund campaign during the period from September 1, 1969 to April 30, 1970. I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines, irrespective of race and creed, to support the campaign.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
