[ Proclamation No. 586, August 6, 1969 ]

DESIGNATING AUGUST 30, 1969, AS THE DATE FOR THE FORMAL ORGANIZATION OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF MANDAUE.

WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 5519 approved or June 21. 1969 created the City of Mandaue; and

WHEREAS, Section 95 of said Act provides that the government of Mandaue City shall be organized upon the effectivity of the Act;

NOW. THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, pursuant to the provision of said Section 95 of Republic Act No. 5519, do hereby proclaim that the formal organization of the government of Mandaue City shall take place on August 30, 1969.
