DECLARING SATURDAY, AUGUST 9, 1969, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN ILOCOS NORTE AND LAOAG CITY.
WHEREAS, the 9th day of August 1969 marks the birthday of the late Governor Roque B. Ablan, an outstanding resistance leader during the Japanese occupation; and
WHEREAS, the people of the province of Ilocos Norte his birth place, should be given opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Saturday, August 9, 1969, as a special public holiday in Ilocos Norte and Laoag City.1aшphi1
