DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM JULY 14 to 20, 1969, AS NATIONAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY WEEK AND CREATING A COMMITTEE TO TAKE CHARGE OF ITS OBSERVANCE.

In order to give impetus to the role of science in the development of the country, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from July 14 to 20, 1969, as National Science and Technology Week to be observed throughout the country in schools, colleges and universities, with appropriate ceremonies, under the sponsorship of the National Science Development Board.

The following are hereby designated members of a committee to take charge of the national observance of the week with particular emphasis on “Food, Population and Science.”

The President, Philippine Chamber of Industries Member
The President, National Press Club of the Philippines Member
The Chairman, National Movement for Science and Technology Member
