[ Proclamation No. 564, May 26, 1969 ]

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, MAY 28, 1969, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCES OF COTABATO, SOUTHERN COTABATO, LANAO DEL NORTE, LANAO DEL SUR, AND SULU, AND IN THE CITIES OF BASILAN, COTABATO, ILIGAN, MARAWI AND GENERAL SANTOS.

In connection with the Muslim Feast of “Maulidan-Nabi,” I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, pursuant to the authority vested in me by Section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Wednesday, May 28, 1969, as a special public holiday in the provinces of Cotabato, Southern Cotabato, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur and Sulu, and in the Cities of Basilan, Cotabato, Iligan, Marawi and General Santos.

Muslim officials and employees of the Government, both national and local, performing their duties and functions outside of the provinces and cities above stated, shall be exempted from duty during this feast day which, for purposes of this proclamation, shall be considered as a special public holiday for said officials and employees in their respective stations.1aшphi1
