ESTABLISHING MTS. IGLIT AND BACO AND VICINITIES AS GAME REFUGE (TAMARAW RESERVATION) AND BIRD SANCTUARY.

By virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby set aside and proclaim, subject to private rights, if. any there be, Mts. Iglit and Baco and its vicinities situated in Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro and Bongabon, Oriental Mindoro, as Game Refuge and Bird Sanctuary closed to settlement, entry, sale, lease, exploitation or other dispo­sition, under the administration of the Parks and Wildlife Office, and which tracts of land are more particularly described on Map No. 1 of Tamaraw Reservation, as follows:

Beginning at Corner 1 due West, about 33,500 meters to point 2; thence N 24 deg. 00 min. E., 12,500 meters to point 3; thence N. 03 deg. 00 min. E., 12,500 meters; to point 4; thence N. 60 deg. 00 min. E., 13,500 meters; to point 5; thence due East 12,500 meters; to point 6; thence due South 38,000 meters; to corner 1 to point of beginning, containing an area of 75,445 hectares, more or less, subject to actual delimitation and future surveys.

The hunting, wounding, taking orkilling within said territory of any wild animals, particularly the tamaraw or any other wildlife specified in Act Numbered Two Thousand Five Hundred Ninety, as amended, and/or the destruction of any vegetation or any act causing disturbance to the habitat of the wildlife herein protected are hereby prohibited.

The Batangan tribe shall be allocated a 1,000-hectare area for settlement and development, where appropriate, under the supervision of the Presidential Assistant on National Minorities who shall coordinate all assistance to said tribe.1aшphi1
