AUTHORIZING THE QUEZON MEMORIAL CIRCLE DEVELOPMENT AND BEATIFICATION COMMITTEE TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL AND FUND CAMPAIGN DURING THE PERIOD FROM MARCH 15 TO SEPTEMBER 15, 1969.

WHEREAS, the Quezon Memorial Circle aims to perpetuate the memory of a great leader who devoted his lifetime to the attainment of Philippine Independence and the welfare of his people;

WHEREAS, the Quezon Memorial Circle Development and Beatification Committee has undertaken the development, landscaping and beautification of the 26 hectare Circle in the nation’s capital; and

WHEREAS, the civic project undertaken by the Quezon Memorial Circle Development and Beautification Committee deserves the whole-hearted support of all segments of the community;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Quezon Memorial Circle Development and Beautification Committee to conduct a national educational and fund campaign during the period from March 15 to September 15, 1969. I authorize government officials to accept for the Committee fund-raising responsibilities. I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines to assist in this drive by giving generously of their means so that this laudable civic project may be completed.
